Galaxy A27 Leaked in High-Quality Renders; Budget Phone Finally Gets a Modern Look

Even though the company did put an official microsite for the phone in the Czech Republic, they still haven’t officially announced the Samsung Galaxy A27. They keep dragging the launch for some reason, which is giving the leakers more time to peek behind the covers. We just found some new high-def A27 renders. This is how it looks.

The renders look as if they came straight from Samsung. But they were actually leaked today by the DigitalCitizen publication. We have to admit that Samsung has outdone itself this time with the Galaxy A27’s design. You’ll see more than a few design changes over the A26.

The biggest change is that the Samsung new A model now has a punch hole rather than a drop notch. That difference alone brings the phone into the 2026 era, and it’s honestly a big relief. Believe it or not, that’s not the only change.

Look at the bezels on the screen edges. They are thinner, and the bottom chin is almost uniform. Last year’s A26 had a bottom chin that was hard to ignore. All three lenses on the back are still put in a vertical enclosure, but this time an accent has been added to the camera island.

There’s an accent ring around the edges of the camera island that’s the same color as the A27’s paint job. There are three options, by the way: pink, blue, or black. At least these are the ones that showed up on renders anyway.

The Galaxy A2x phones have always been hard to recommend, since they are always very mediocre for what they cost. But the new design changes the equation. We also hear that they are putting a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip on the A27, which was the exact same SoC the A36 had last year.

There’s going to be a 5000 mAh battery on the phone. Again, it’s average, but serviceable. Galaxy A27 will be the last model to receive Android 16 One UI 8.5 out of the box. July’s the month for the official Galaxy Z series launch, and those devices are coming with Android 17. Keep watching the news for updates.
