Xiaomi Redmi 15C & Poco C85 Spotted in GSMA Database Ahead of Launch

Xiaomi Redmi 15C and Poco C85 have made their first appearance on GSMA’s IMEI database. That’s proof enough to assume both devices exist and could launch in a matter of weeks, possibly in July. Here’s what we know so far about these newcomers.

GSMA listed at least six variants for both phones, each headed to a different region. Multiple model numbers usually mean a wider rollout across individual markets, as hinted by the letters at the end. The Redmi 15C could launch in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and other regions.

The Poco C85 has been assigned the model code 25078PC3EG, ending with the letter “G.” This phone seems to be on a global track. The Redmi 15C is identified with the model code 25078RA3EA, which could be the variant headed for the Asian market.

These Xiaomi budget new models are likely identical, with just the nameplates switched out. You can expect both phones to have the same specs and design. It’s being speculated that the Redmi 15C will come with an IPS display and an entry-level chip in a similar vein to a Helio G99.

These budget phones could pair that chip with LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. The battery size might get a massive boost to 6000mAh, and the charging speeds could vary between 18W and 33W based on the region. Poco C85 will follow and feature an identical set of specifications.

So far, there doesn’t seem to be an official confirmation for these internals. The GSMA listing only spilled the phone’s model numbers without getting into the specifics. So, we advise taking these specs with a grain of salt until we hear otherwise from the company.

Xiaomi once again plans to release a single phone under two different brand names, a practice we’ve become familiar with over the past few years. Since the Poco C75 turned out to be a rebranded Redmi 14C last year, it’s likely to happen again with the Poco C85 and Redmi 15C. Stay tuned to learn more about the duo ahead of its July 2025 release.
