Xiaomi Redmi 15C 5G Image Leak Confirms 120Hz Refresh Rate & 6000mAh Battery

Apart from the Redmi 15C 4G and Redmi 15 5G, the company seems to be working on a third device called the “Xiaomi Redmi 15C 5G.” The names may sound similar, but specs-wise, these are entirely different handsets. The Redmi 15C 5G has now appeared in a leak that shows its design and spills most of its specifications.

The leak we found exposed two of the phone’s primary color options. There’s a squarish island on Redmi 15C 5G’s back with two cameras and an LED flash. Around the front, this newcomer will bring a 6.9” screen with a thick chin and visible black borders around it.

It’s an IPS LCD with a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. The screen is quite big on the Redmi 15C 5G, so the HD+ resolution may not look as sharp as some other smaller devices. At least this panel has a high refresh rate support. It will be able to push pixels at a 120Hz speed.

Since the newcomer lacks an AMOLED, the company mounted the fingerprint ID on the side. It will be layered on top of the power key. The Xiaomi's budget new mobile might also bring up to 4GB RAM, and the storage will be split into two options: 128GB or 256GB.

There were more than a few details in the leak, although the most interesting is the battery size. The newcomer is supposed to bring a 6000mAh cell. Xiaomi is slowly moving away from the old 5000mAh standard, even in the budget category. In the charging department, we might see 33W fast charging on the newcomer.

The camera details are still missing, but it’s only a matter of time before they are leaked as well. This new 5G device is headed for a global launch sometime in August, if the rumors hold. Like its other siblings, we look forward to an Android 15 experience on the Redmi 15C 5G.

Leaks such as this usually indicate a launch right around the corner. We won’t have to wait long for its formal announcement. Stay tuned for the latest developments, as the phone continues to appear in leaks and stories before its official debut.
