On Vivo's digital shelves, the freshly unveiled Vivo Y78 and its sibling, the Vivo Y78m (t1), are stealing the spotlight. Sporting an attractive and super affordable price, both models flaunt a generous 12+256GB storage combo. The newcomers graced the Chinese market yesterday with the following specs.

Regarding colors and design, Vivo's Y78 is the chameleon, offering an extended palette of Haoye Black, Jade Porcelain Blue, and Phoenix Gold. Its counterpart, the Y78m (t1), keeps things simple with Haoye Black and the deep Glaze Blue.

Beyond the colors, the Y78 Duo showcases a sleek design with a svelte 7.98mm thickness, clocking in at a comfortable 190g. This slim profile is complemented by a matte, straight-edged chassis, adding a touch of modern chic.

Peeping under the hood of Vivo's new Y model, we have a 6.64-inch LCD screen that dazzles with a 2388×1080 pixel dance. Both devices have a remarkable 91.06% screen real estate, and the visuals amaze with a crisp 394PPI. Vivo hasn’t skimped on security either, embedding a snappy side fingerprint scanner and facial recognition algorithm using the front camera.

Performance-wise, both phones run on the robust Dimensity 6020 chipset, ensuring nippy multitasking. A hearty 5000mAh battery powers these gadgets, getting a speed boost with 44W rapid charging.

Snap-happy folks are also in for a treat. The duo sports an 8-megapixel selfie snapper (f/2.0) with AF focus. Flip it, and there’s a double-barreled setup: a 50-megapixel primary shooter (f/1.8) alongside a 2MP depth sensor (f/2.4). This pair brings 10x zoom and Auto-focus to the table.

Vivo’s new offerings blend style, specs, and substance, delivering a well-rounded package for the savvy consumer. Surprisingly, their cost is also identical, with 12+256GB variants selling at 1,999 RMB, roughly equivalent to PKR 78,000.
