Vivo Y31d Goes Official in Pakistan with 7200mAh Battery & Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 Chip

We did a coverage last week of a 7,200 mAh Vivo phone that was shortly coming to Pakistan. Well, they’ve released the device sooner than we’d hoped. Vivo Y31d is now in Pakistan, and it’s formally announced in 128GB and 256GB storage options. The device is LTE-only, and there’s Origin OS 6 onboard. This is everything you should know.

Vivo Y31d has two major KSPSs: endurance and durability. You’ve already seen the promotion and teasers. The device is all about battery life with its 7,200 mAh BlueVolt cell that could potentially last 2 days per charge. They say it can do almost 45 hours of video playback.

This huge battery does have one downside, though. Vivo's new Y mobile is 8.49mm thick. The charging kit inside can replenish 50% juice in 43 minutes via a Flash Charge 44-watt brick. Bypass charging and 6 years of battery life are also being heavily advertised for it. That’s just one side of the coin.

Durability is another thing Vivo Y31d tries to sell you on. This handset has an IP68 and IP69 rating with the SGS 5-Star drop protection certificate. That’s a flagship quality build for a device that costs a fraction. It’s completely waterproof and submersible.

Only a few handsets in the market right now have a Snapdragon 6S 4G Gen 2 chip. Vivo Y31d was one of the first phones to grab this 6nm platform. It has four Cortex-A73 2.9 GHz cores. But being first doesn’t necessarily make you better. We’d advise you to steer clear if you are a gamer, because this device has a weak Adreno 610 GPU.

Anyway, the screen is an IPS 6.75” LCD that has a thick chin and very visible bezels. Not exactly ideal for the price. The panel is capped at 720p HD+ resolution. And pixels are pushed at 120Hz. It does upgrade the brightness to 1,250 nits HBM. There’s no AMOLED or screen fingerprint ID here.

A single 50MP camera has been used on the back. The other lens is a decorative piece. Vivo Y31d can shoot 8MP selfies as well. And both sides record 1080p@30FPS videos. The WiFi is only dual-band. Vivo Y31d has 8GB RAM onboard, and it stores Origin OS 6 on either 128GB or 256GB storage. They are priced respectively at Rs 65,999 and Rs 72,999 in Pakistan.
