Vivo Y31d Quietly Unveiled with 7200mAh Battery and Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 Chip

Vivo Y31d didn’t have a normal launch. It just rolled out silently in Cambodia and Vietnam without any fanfare. It’s an entry to midrange device, by the way, that runs a Snapdragon 6S Gen 2 chip. That makes it a 4G phone. And there’s a really huge battery inside it. This is everything we know about it.

Vivo Y31d is part of a series that already had Y31 and Y31 Pro. They both carried 6500mAh cells, which is good enough on paper. But the Vivo Y31d is actually way better with a 7200mAh BlueVolt battery. This is supposed to run 14 hours straight with navigation and almost 45 hours on video playback.

The numbers are claimed and advertised by the company. We may see close but different endurance figures in real life. Anyway, the battery is recharged at a 44W FlashCharge input. That’s going to do 1-50% in 43 minutes. This battery will retain good health for 6 years.

Vivo new budget mobile is not only submersion-proof with its IP69+ rating, but it is secure enough to resist pressurized water jets. It is still a budget phone, so they had to cheap out somewhere. In Vivo Y31d’s case, the display takes a bit of a hit, and you can tell it’s not quite as premium as the Y31 Pro.

You get thick bezels and a massive chin on its IPS 6.75” LCD. The panel is capped at 720p HD+ resolution, but the pixels are pushed to 120Hz. There are two speakers here, so the Y31d does have stereo sound. The WiFi is only dual-band, NFC is here, and there’s no audio jack.

They actually demoted the chip, and the network got demoted with it. It’s not a 5G device like its siblings. Vivo Y31d is built around a Snapdragon 6S 4G Gen 2 chip with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The system it runs by default is Origin OS 6, which means Android 16 out of the box.

They haven’t really confirmed the newcomer’s price just yet. But we are sure more markets will see this handset soon, and the price will be revealed at some point in the next few days. Keep watching the news for updates.
