The X300 lineup is fading in the background. We now inch closer to the launch of the Vivo X500 lineup by the end of this year. Yes, they’ve skipped over the X400 naming. We’ve heard reports about the potential battery sizes of the X500 handsets, but today’s leak may have put the final nail in the coffin. This is what we learned.
Previous leaks made the same prediction. The minimum battery capacity that might show up on the X500 phones is 7000mAh. SmartPikachu also agrees with those claims. The gist of his post, or at least when accurately translated from the Chinese, is that the phones have hit the 7K mAh range.
We suspect that the first set of devices to launch will be vanilla X500 and X500 Pro. Now, the older versions had way smaller batteries, even more so in the European market. A 6510mAh cell was used on the X300 Pro. And the basic X300 went down to 6040 mAh.
What SmartPikachu meant in his leak is that the bare minimum battery to be used on the X500 series is 7000mAh. So the phones will have equal to, or bigger packs. It’s way too early to suggest any accurate figures. So we’ll leave that to the future leaks.
This is obviously not the first time we have heard about the X500 series. There were leaks before, and we’ll see leaks after this post as well. Some say the lineup will wind up getting four models in total. There’s apparently a Pro Max version in the group. It could have the biggest screen of all the handsets.
It’s said that the X500 Pro Max is actually built around a 6.9” screen, which is a bit larger than the X500 Pro’s 6.85” panel. There’s a version smack dab in the middle with a 6.59” OLED. You can put the fourth version in the compact category because it’s just a puny 6.37” device.
Vivo X phones have never had LOFIC HDR support. Flagship phones are starting to adopt it in China. So the company is giving it a spin for the first time, and they’ve put a 50MP sensor under testing that could ultimately be used on the X500 series. Keep watching the news for more updates.
