Vivo V60 continues to reach more countries. Amid the global rollout, the company has finally announced the device for Malaysia, Taiwan, and Vietnam. The latter two haven’t received the device yet, but in Malaysia, the pre-order window is closed, and the Vivo V60 has officially hit the retail sites.
The company has only released the 8/256GB memory trim in the region. That’s paired with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, built around 8 cores and a 2.8GHz boost clock speed. It also gives you access to an Adreno 722 GPU, which can handle 90FPS gameplay on Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
The quad-curve display is immersive, especially with those symmetrical black trims. This is an AMOLED 6.77” visor at FHD+ resolution. It brings a punch hole cutout, HDR10+ content is supported, and the screen has buttery smooth visuals at 120Hz. The brightness peaks at around 5000nits, but it only activates when you watch HDR videos on the display.
Vivo V60 runs the old Android 15 FunTouch OS by default. It may not have the latest Android 16, but you can expect at least four years of OS and security updates on this phone. Plus, the firmware is decked out with AI features, like the Intelligent Four-Season Portraits, Gemini Live, Circular to Search, and so much more. The V60 is still a perfect choice in the Vivo price list as compared to the others.
The tried and tested 50MP wide and 8MP Ultrawide camera pair is still available on the V60. But all the attention is drawn to the third entry this year: a 50MP (IMX882) telephoto lens that’s stabilized and zooms to about a 3.5x range. The hardware is essentially the same as Vivo’s X200.
There’s a wider 92-degree FOV on the selfie cam this year. It’s the same 50MP sensor on the display punch hole, which records 4K 30FPS videos. An Aura Ring LED is a signature addition by Vivo. Users will also find ZEISS optical treatment and color science on this handset.
The newcomer may be slightly thicker this time, but you get a huge battery upgrade as a result, from 6000mAh to 6500mAh. It still uses a 90W input, which will take less than an hour for a 100% charge. Vivo V60 is priced at $440 (~PKR 124,000) in Malaysia, which is a fair deal for an 8/256GB memory trim. Like the previous releases, Vivo V60 could eventually arrive in Pakistan. You’ll be hearing from us once the company makes it official.
