Tecno Spark 8 Pro Debuts Featuring a Sharp Display, 33W Charging, and Gaming Chip

Tecno’s Spark 8 series debuted in September when the original Spark 8 dropped. The phone maker has now followed up on the baseline model with a ‘Pro’ edition. Tecno Spark 8 Pro launched in Bangladesh. But it should be headed to more South Asian markets soon.

The Tecno Spark 8 Pro features a design Tecno recently adopted for the current-gen Spark series. We’re looking at a camera island that stretches across the width of the phone. It has a glossy sunburst finish, three lenses, and an LED flash.

The camera plate curves to meet the chassis. The rest of the shell has a lined texture to round off the design. You can choose from Interstellar Black and Komodo Island. Flip the Tecno Spark 8 Pro over to find its O-hole cutout in the center of the display.

It’s a 6.8” screen that delivers a 1080P resolution on the Tecno Spark new model. No high refresh rate on the 8 Pro, but the audio experience is immersive with DTS-certified stereo speakers. The side-facing power button pulls double duty as the fingerprint scanner.

The camera system is made of a 48MP f/1.79 lens and two low-res sensors to pad the count. Embedded in the display is an 8MP front camera. Tecno Spark 8 Pro can shoot in Ultra Clear, HDR, 2K video, and Super Night modes.

Inside the Tecno Spark 8 Pro, the MediaTek Helio G85 is the engine. It’s powered by a 5000 mAh battery and 33W charging over a USB-C port. You get 6GB of memory and 64GB of storage. It’s not the best-in-class, but it is expandable. HiOS 7.6, built on Android 11, runs on the phone. The Spark 8 Pro starts at ~ PKR 34,700.
