Tecno Spark 40 is Almost Here; Pakistani Launch Slated in 2 Days, Marking the Series Finale

Tecno released the Spark 40 Pro and Pro Plus in Pakistan last month, but the lineup remains incomplete. The company will round out the series shortly by introducing a vanilla Spark 40 (6/128GB) model to the local market. The newcomer is bound for Pakistan in the next 48 hours, and here’s what it offers.

The handset was found on Tecno’s official social media page with a teaser saying “three days to go.” By the time you read this news, the launch will be even closer. The Spark 40 should arrive in Pakistan by September 15, if not sooner. This newcomer was made global in July, by the way, so its specifications and design are already public knowledge.

It remains to be seen whether Tecno releases its NFC or non-NFC version in Pakistan. The former has a Helio G91 chip, but the Spark 40 without NFC brings home a weak Helio G81 that could push this phone into the sub-entry-level category. Whatever the case, we’ll see an Android 15 system running on it by default.

We have a 6.67” IPS display on the front that peaks at a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is always locked to a high clock speed with no Dynamic refresh rate. It will hit the battery hard. The Tecno latest Spark mobile’s lower pixel count balances out the energy consumption. A punch hole cutout hides an 8MP selfie camera on the screen.

The battery mounted on this device is only 5200mAh, which is quickly running out of fashion, though reliable enough by 2025 standards. Its charging speed is lightning fast, since it uses a 45W input to refill a 100% cell in 55 minutes. Tecno says it has 2000 cycles, so the battery retains 80% health even after 5 years of use.

The Spark 40 targets the budget market, but still affords you the premium IP64 rating for minor splash safety and full dust ingress protection. And yes, the newcomer still has the Micro SD card slot and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The new Tecno model has a 50MP main camera on the back and an unnamed auxiliary lens right next to it on a huge horizontal island. This is one of the few devices that gets you an infrared remote in this range. Spark 40 Pro has dual speakers and a Free-Link call service (500m range) as well. This phone will enter Pakistan with a 6/128GB trim, and its price is expected to be between Rs 30,000 and 35,000.
