This is the cheapest Spark 40 device in the lineup. You’ll notice immediately that its design resembles the Spark Go 1 from 2024. Well, you are not too far off, since the Tecno Spark 40C borrows display and camera tech from that model. This newcomer has now entered Pakistan with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. Keep reading to learn more about the handset.
The Spark 40C is secured with an IP64 rating, a rare feature in this price range. Tecno even advertises 1.5m drop protection with this handset, but we couldn’t find an official SGS rating on the landing page. This may be an internal claim. The Spark 40C is built around an entry-class IPS screen.
Tecno mounted a 6.67” IPS LCD on its top with only a 720p resolution. But if you can look past the low pixel density, this is a pretty decent visor with a 120Hz refresh rate and ~84.2% screen-to-body ratio. The Spark 40C doesn’t have built-in screen protection, so you may need to apply a glass protector as soon as you buy this device.
Of course, a new device deserves the latest firmware. Tecno gave Spark 40C a HiOS 15.1 overlay on top of an Android 15 operating system. It is run by a cheap Helio G81 SoC, by the way, so expect minor stutter and animation lags across the UI. At least, the fluency is promised to remain consistent over 4 years, so the experience shouldn’t worsen over time on the Tecno Sparknew model.
Tecno Spark 40C sticks to 4GB RAM and 128GB storage on the Pakistani version, whereas the global trim goes up to 8GB and 256GB. Lucky for us, the phone has a virtual RAM feature that can add 4GB* extra virtual memory to help with multitasking.
The camera gear on Tecno’s Spark 40C is ordinary, although it fits well in the price segment. Its rear shooter has a solo 13MP sensor and a decorative lens right next to it. The flash is quite bright with dual LEDs. The selfie camera in the punch hole is 8MP.
This newcomer has dual speakers and loud Audio. Free Link calls add networkless communication, and the Infrared port allows remote control for home appliances. All this hardware is powered by a 6000mAh battery, which you can recharge through an 18W adapter. Spark 40C’s official price in Pakistan is Rs 26,999 only.
