Tecno Spark 40 Pro & Pro Plus Launch in Pakistan with Slim Designs & 144Hz AMOLEDs

Tecno has just released the Spark 40 series in Pakistan. The initial launch includes only the Pro variants; the basic Spark 40 remains unreleased for now. You get a higher-end “Spark 40 Pro Plus” in the first round, alongside a cheaper “Spark 40 Pro” variant, both offering 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.

Tecno Spark 40 Pro Plus

Spark 40 Pro Plus sets the tone for the entire series with an ultra-thin 6.5mm profile. It’s also the company’s first device with a Helio G200 chip. It has a slightly better GPU performance, and MediaTek added 12-bit DCG support, so it can record better HDR videos than the former Helio G100.

The phone pairs its new chip with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, the only trim available in Pakistan. It also brings a curved 6.78” AMOLED display on the front, which runs at 144Hz with 1.5K resolution. The display leaves nothing to be desired.

Like any premium device, its fingerprint scanner lies within the screen. We have a 13MP selfie camera in the top punch hole. Flip it over and you’ll see a 50MP main camera on the back and a secondary (unspecified) lens right beside it. The phone’s 5200mAh battery should provide a full-day backup with light usage.

Tecno Spark 40 Pro+ allows you to refill the battery with either 30W wireless or a 45W wired input. The newcomer secured an IP64 rating for splash and dust resistance. Its software is based on Android 15 HiOS. The Spark 40 Pro Plus (8/256GB) goes for Rs 59,999 in Pakistan.

Tecno Spark 40 Pro

The second thinnest model in line is the Spark 40 Pro at 6.7mm. This one has a flat profile, straight edges, and a non-curved 6.78” AMOLED screen on the front. Nothing else changes on the screen. The lineup maintains 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate even at the Pro level.

A similar 5200mAh battery is passed down to the Spark 40 Pro, but there’s no wireless charging here to back it up. It can only be recharged with a 45W wired input. Also, the phone brings that very same 50MP main camera here, although it’s stuck with last year’s chipset for image optimization.

Spark 40 Pro has a Helio G100 Ultimate chip, which brings the same processing power as the newer version. Sadly, it isn’t quite as capable in the GPU department. Multitasking, on the other hand, should feel the same, as the phone offers 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage in Pakistan.

This device has the FreeLink Call feature bundled with an Android 15 HiOS system. It should allow communication without a network within a limited radius, though it only works on supported devices. The Spark 40 Pro (8/256GB) retails in Pakistan at Rs 48,999.
