Tecno has big plans for March, as it does every year. They’ve chosen MWC 2026 to stage the welcome banquet for the Tecno Camon 50 lineup and the Pova 8 series. This Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 event will take place in Barcelona (Spain) from March 2nd through 5th.

They’ve just sent out a press release on their plans for the MWC event. And it’s all about AI. Tecno will speak about its “pioneering practical AI devices.” One of the talking points is “connected AI ecosystem.” And there’s something along the lines of imaginative AI forms and designs.
That’s a lot of AI industry jargon, and most of it is unfamiliar to the general public. We’ll be able to describe those things once the keynote is over. Anyway, we have our eyes on their flagship Camon 50 and Pova 8 series that will break cover at said event. The press release says the Camon 50 will be its flagship imaging line, which means the cameras will be its main attraction this year. They spoke of a revolutionary snap experience and some sort of enhanced processing intelligence for the Camon 50 series.
The so-called “greater creative flexibility” could just be some AI tools for fun edits after the photos are taken. We know there are a lot of vague terms to throw around, but Tecno is obviously trying to hype up the launch without revealing too much information about the lineup.

They also noted the Tecno Pova 8 series in the press release as balanced performance-to-style devices. They’ll pair a unique design (seen in official renders) with a huge battery and a well-rounded feature set for all Pova 8 phones.
They say it’s built for the modern user who prefers reliability and good looks from their phones. It’s not just the smartphones, mind you. There will be some smart accessories, computers, and tablets at Tecno’s MWC booth. We are certainly intrigued about all of it. We’ll keep you in the loop about the latest developments, so keep watching the news for more updates.
