Tecno Camon 50 Pro now has a 5G version. They didn’t just swap the chipset to turn the 4G phone into 5G. The whole device was replaced. Apparently, their Camon 50 Pro 5G is a rebranded Camon 50 Ultra. This is everything we learned about the device.

The devices have the same Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset, which, if you compare it to the 4G version’s Helio G200 SoC, is a huge upgrade. The performance will be right in the middle, not entry-level nor flagship. The price tag they chose for the Camon 50 Pro 5G is also quite reasonable.
Their all-new Camon 50 Pro 5G’s screen is a huge 6.78” AMOLED at a 144Hz refresh rate. It’s a 1.5K resolution panel, by the way. There’s an HDR10 rating and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for scratch safety. The bezels are narrow, and the screen is curved at the edges.

The selfie camera on this handset is a pretty decent 50MP sensor. Flip the phone over to find three rear cameras on the Tecno new Camon mobile. Number one is a 50MP main unit. The sensor behind that lens is a 23mm Sony LYT700C (1/1.56”) outsole. There’s a second 50MP lens, which is a periscope telephoto 3X zoom camera.

An 8MP ultrawide camera fills the third slot. Don’t get confused by the fourth rear camera; it’s just an auxiliary lens. The software that puts everything together is Android 16 with HiOS 16 skin. Tecno’s firmware support has gotten better. All phones in the Camon 50 series are promised 3 years of OS updates.
A giant 6,500 mAh battery lies inside the Camon 50 Pro 5G. And it gets backup from a 45W charger. The fingerprint reader on the screen is optical. There are two speakers here. The IP69K rating will keep this newcomer safe from water jets and high temperatures. Tecno Camon 50 Pro 5G carries 8GB RAM at the base price with 256GB storage. It is being sold in Indonesia for $332 (~PKR 92,000).
