The Tecno Camon 50 series was to launch at the MWC 2026 fair, but most African markets have received the newcomers early. Maybe these devices will still hit the stage at next month’s MWC event. But we don’t have to wait around for its specs to appear. Those are already public.

Tecno Camon 50 and 50 Pro are the only two devices in the lineup for now. These are nearly the same phones on paper. But there’s obviously a design disparity. The Pro model has a curved design and a 3D display, which looks way more premium than its other sibling.
Each phone has a 6.78” AMOLED. It is a 1080p FHD+ screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. The bezels are nearly nonexistent on the non-Pro and the Pro’s curved AMOLED displays. There’s a 32MP selfie unit on each panel. And these Tecno new Camon mobiles share an optical fingerprint ID as well.

Their screen stats might be the same, but we get one extra camera on the Camon 50 Pro version: a 50MP (70mm) telephoto with 3x optical zoom. The rest of the lens setup is shared across both handsets. A Sony LYT700C 50MP (main) and an 8MP (ultrawide) unit are found on the Camon 50 series.

They’ve certainly added a little oomph to the cameras this time around, but we don’t see a huge CPU performance gap over generations. They’ve used a Helio G200 silicon on Camon 50 and 50 Pro. We know that it’s a 2.2GHz platform, and it scores less than half a million points on AnTuTu.

Sadly, these two phones are stuck with entry-level performance. They each have at least 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, from what we’ve learned so far. By the way, they boot to Android 16 HiOS 16 skin, and each has a built-in Tecno AI suite for convenience.

There is one more upgrade that’s definitely worth mentioning here. They’ve upped the battery capacity on each Camon 50 device. The lineup now carries a 6,150 mAh battery size (Vs 5,200 mAh on the Camon 40 series). And you can plug that into a 45W wired adapter.
Each Camon 50 sibling has dual speakers and an IP69K rating. There’s even the built-in IR blaster on each handset. Tecno Camon 50 is obviously cheaper, and its base price is around $290 (~PKR 81,000). The Camon 50 Pro bumps the cost to roughly $341 (~PKR 95,000). These two newcomers are definitely coming to Pakistan, so better keep an eye out for their local debut.
