A new leak shows the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 in three colors. One of them is a slightly familiar Jet Black option, and the rest are Blue Shadow and Coral Red. There might be a few others, but they are going to retail exclusively on Samsung’s website. Some fresh renders provided by Android Headlines offer a preview.
The Z Flip 7 design gets a big overhaul this year. The first obvious difference is the cover screen that now extends across the entire upper section of the device. Its camera lenses sit inside the outer display. From what the leaks foreshadow, it’s been upgraded from 3.4” to an even 4” super AMOLED display.
You can see in these images that the corner radius has been reduced on this phone. The chassis now feels slightly wider, and the aspect ratio is changed to be more in tune with normal devices. The Jet Black Z Flip 7 doesn’t look so different from the Z Flip 6’s online-exclusive Crafted Black option.
There’s also a Blue Shadow color for the new Samsung Flip mobile, which you will find in the renders here. It’s a slightly darker version of the original light blue that came with the Z Flip 6. The leak didn’t give away the coral red option, but folks at Android Headlines believe it exists. We’ll know for sure when the Z Flip 7 comes out.
It’s reported that the new Galaxy Z Flip has a bigger 6.85” inner screen, and it’s slightly wider as well at 7.52mm. The older Galaxy Z Flip 6 was a 6.7” phone with a 71.9mm wide body. There will be thinner bezels around the display and small improvements in the hinge to reduce the middle crease.
The Z Flip 7 will not see a charging speed upgrade this year, but the battery size will be bumped from 4000mAh to 4300mAh. There’s also a possibility that it will retain the 15W wireless input. Another big upgrade will be the chip. Samsung plans to use an Exynos 2500 chip for this model.
This will be a Deca-core chip, as usual, and may come with 256GB or 512GB of built-in storage. We’ll see some familiar specs for the cameras with a 50MP Main sensor, 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP selfie shooter. Its launch is expected in early July, so it’s right around the corner. We’ll learn more about this device once it goes official, so stay tuned for an in-depth review.
