Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Complete Specs Breakdown; Here’s What We Know So Far

Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event is only weeks away. The big reveal is set for July, and the spotlight will be on the seventh-generation foldables. All eyes are on the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7, which is rumored to get a few small but meaningful upgrades. Here’s everything we know about this device so far.

Samsung is perfecting the recipe instead of making drastic changes to the device. Galaxy Z Flip 7 could reduce the crease and might carry Samsung’s in-house SoC for the first time. Rumors have been pointing to an Exynos 2500, but it remains unconfirmed if it’s going to be regional or across the board.

There’s no major design overhaul, as some previous leaks pointed out. It will keep the same bar-style form that bends down the middle, but there is a possibility that the Z Flip 7 will be taller to accommodate a bigger cover screen. Yes, you heard it right!

Not only is the inner screen a bit taller on Galaxy Z Flip 7 (6.7” vs. 6.85”). The leaks also suggest that the cover screen is also going from 3.4” to an even 4.0.” This is something Motorola’s Razor phones have been employing for a long time. It’s nice to see Samsung making the change.

Both inner and outer screens on the latest Samsung Flip mobile will have 2x AMOLED with 120Hz refresh rate and 2600 nits of brightness for a perfect balance. The company might also use Color Filter on Encapsulation (CoE) tech to remove glare from the screen and assist with energy efficiency.

There will be a refined hinge mechanism that will reduce the crease visibility on Galaxy Z Flip 7. Also, there are no camera upgrades to speak of. It will reuse the same Flip 6 lenses with a 50MP Main, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP selfie. We still have no telephoto camera on this device.

As we said before, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 could rock a Samsung-made Exynos 2500 chip, which is believed to have 10 cores and a 3.3GHz max clock speed. Its graphics will be based on AMD’s RDNA 3.5 technology. Geekbench confirms that it will come with either 12GB or 8GB RAM.

The Flip 7 will probably upgrade its battery from 4000mAh to 4300mAh, but there’s going to be the same 25W charging and 15W wireless input for backup. It’s expected to launch with Android 16 built-in. There will be a price hike of $100 in the US, and we won’t be surprised if its cost increases in other regions as well. Stick around and keep watching the news for more leaks on Galaxy Z Flip 7 as it paves its way to the launch.
