Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 & Fold 7 Launch Plans Possibly Reported in New Leak

Some new reports suggest that Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7 may be launching sooner this year. Apparently, their timeline has been moved up by a few days, though the event will be happening within the same month as before. The preliminary details we have found confirm there’s a “Galaxy Unpacked” due in early July.

These details have been sourced from the publication “TheJoongAng” in Korea, which seems to drop a few clues about the timeline and the venue for Z Flip 7 and Fold 7. There’s a possibility that the next Unpacked event will be held in New York in July.

The old Galaxy Flip 6 and Fold 6 were made official on July 10th last year, but the new folding phones may be heading for launch within the first week of July, if the leak panned out. Samsung held an event for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 in New York last time, but the venue was changed to Seul, Korea later, for Z Flip 5 and Fold 5.

The last Unpacked was held in Paris, France for Z Fold 6 and Flip 6. It seems the company has cycled through the venues and now plans to host the next Unpacked in the USA, once again. It’s also a possibility that the latest Samsung Flip mobile and the rumored tri-Fold device will be teased on the same day.

So, what’s expected from Samsung’s foldable duo this year? From what we’ve heard so far, the Z Flip 7 is upgrading its cover screen to 4” and the inner AMOLED display to 6.85.” The battery could be a 4300mAh split package with 25W charging.

The Z Fold 7 will have a 6.5” cover on the front, and possibly an 8.2” folding screen on the inside. Samsung could boost its Main camera resolution to 200MP with the usual 12 MP ultrawide + 10MP telephoto lens pairing. The selfie unit might also be 12 MP on the cover display.

The Z Fold 7 will have a much thinner profile than last time: 4.5mm unfolded and 9.5mm in the folded state. The thin design could be a reason why there’s only a 4400mAh cell and 25W charging support on the Z Fold 7. These are preliminary details. We might have to wait for more sources to confirm the specifications, so stay tuned for more updates.
