Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Launch Possibly Delayed, Now Expected in March 2026

The Galaxy S26 series rumors have picked up the pace in recent weeks. One would assume it’s because of the nearing global launch, but a new leak seems to disagree, claiming that the S26 series has been postponed to March 2026. We are just as surprised as you are. Here are the details.

January is usually the month when Samsung releases the flagship Galaxy S series every year. However, this may not happen in 2026 due to some development and design issues that the company is facing with its basic Galaxy S26. They may need to push the whole lineup to March, delaying it by two months.

This change might disrupt Samsung’s entire calendar. The source behind this news is a famous European publication, so the internet believes it’s credible. From what we’ve gathered from their report, Galaxy S26 Ultra is ready for its debut, but the standard S26 is running behind.

Of course, Samsung wants to launch all the new Samsung flagship models together, which could be the reason for this delay. But we have our reservations. Credible as it may be, we advise not to take this leak at face value alone because this story has some loose ends.

Firstly, they didn’t give a proper reason behind this change, pinning the blame on some vague development issue. Then there’s a long string of leaks claiming that Samsung only wants to release a Galaxy S26+, S26 Pro, and S26 Ultra model, and it may have axed the S26 Edge and vanilla S26. This report presumes that the basic S26 exists.

Anyway, this European publication did have some of Galaxy S26 Ultra’s specifications in its report. The phone is built around a 10-bit screen, and the processor running this handset will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. These stats are believable.

It also says the alleged Samsung Galaxy S26 will bring an Exynos 2600 SoC. We know that the company has skipped the Exynos 2500, but it’s still struggling with chipset manufacturing, as Qualcomm keeps pushing the goal post every year. We’ll know soon enough how capable the Exynos 2600 is against the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Dimensity 9500. Keep watching the news for updates.
