Samsung Galaxy S26 Grabs the Latest July 2026 Monthly Update to Boost Security

Samsung Galaxy S26 series has been hit with the July 2026 security update in the company’s home market, and today, it was unlocked for the European region as well. The update deployment should pick up the pace from this point. This is everything you need to know.

This is a heads-up for Galaxy S26 owners in Pakistan, because the update will reach your handsets any second. The firmware they’ve been pushing in Europe has the build number S94xBXXS4AZG5, though it will look a bit different in our region. We have the global stock, and the firmware number will reflect that.

Anyway, the size of the update is the same on the three main handsets at round 500MB for the Samsung new S model, S26+, or the S26 Ultra. The details on the internet are few and far between, though they’ve generally delivered the same 57 security fixes on every phone that officially supports the July 2026 patch.

This update has Android security bulletins (ASB) patches from Google, and they total up to 41. The other 16 are possibly Samsung SVEs for the One UI layer that sits over the Android 16 core. The company has advised in the changelog that 42 of the vulnerabilities are high severity.

It doesn’t look like any performance tweaks or new features are coming with this update. So it’s only meant to upgrade the S26 series’ security. The changelog gets into the specifics, so make sure you read that before committing to this July 2026 patch.

Anyway, installing this update would be as easy as going into Settings and scrolling all the way to the Software Updates menu. And there you’ll see a Check for Updates button. This will scan for any available OTA package. You are then prompted to click a Download and Install button. This will install the update and reboot the handset.
