Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro Might Not Exist After All, According to a New Leak

Usama Rasool

There has been some confusion regarding the members of the Galaxy S26 series. The leaks so far have been pointing at Galaxy S26 Ultra, S26+, and S26 Pro — the last one is allegedly Galaxy S25’s replacement. There’s a change in the air now, and the rumor mill is backing out on its previous claims, saying the Galaxy S26 Pro may not exist.

This discovery was reported by Sammobile. Folks at this famous publication are adamant that the Galaxy S26 Pro doesn’t really exist, and the S25’s replacement will simply be called Galaxy S26. This report is actually a relief because the alleged “Pro” naming makes the phone unnecessarily confusing.

Does this mean Samsung’s getting back to the status quo, if this leak is at all real? It would seem so. Galaxy S26 keeps the existing position, at the bottom of the totem pole. Galaxy S26 Plus was supposed to be replaced by the Galaxy S26 Edge, but that’s no longer the case either.

Galaxy S25 Edge did poorly in terms of sales, which we already predicted — it’s an enthusiast phone, so what other outcome could Samsung have expected? Anyway, since people didn't show enough interest, they are axing its successor, the Galaxy S26 Edge. That means the latest Samsung flagship mobile is back in the picture.

Well, those two phones were the reason behind all the shake-up in Samsung’s naming strategy. It seems everything’s going back to normal — that is, if the leak pans out. Galaxy S26 Ultra’s existence was never in question.

There wasn’t an official confirmation for any changes before, nor is there one now. We are judging these leaks based on the credibility of their sources. It’s also possible the rumor mill has been giving real-time updates of Samsung’s plans. The company itself might be the cause of this confusion.

Folks at Sammobile write that the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus will both carry the new Exynos 2600. This vanilla S26 has been upgraded with a 4300mAh battery (up from last year’s 4000mAh). There’s also a new camera design on the way, which you can see in the images above. Keep watching the news for further updates.
