Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Updated with November 2025 Security Patch Globally

Only Korea had received the November security patch for the Galaxy S25 series until today. The update is now global, and it’s currently being deployed in European countries. More regions will follow suit shortly. Here’s what you need to know about the update if you own a Galaxy S25 handset.

The patch-carrying firmware that we found in one of the European countries has the build number S938BXXS7BYK3. That’s the same number most of you will see on your Galaxy S25, S25+, or S25 Ultra when the update arrives. This code will appear on the changelog right before you install the patch.

This update is 569.89 MB, by the way. There’s not a lot going on with the November patch, feature-wise. We do have some security and bug fixes in the mix. They say 25 of the vulnerabilities present in the current firmware are removed with this new OTA package.

We believe the next stop for this update is the US carrier-locked Galaxy S25 handsets. Sometime in the next few days, we’ll even see the package in Pakistan. So the local latest Samsung 5G mobile owner should start regularly checking the Software update menu in the device settings.

The Galaxy phones usually send you an alert when an update is available. Some phones even download the update in the background if Automatic Updates are turned on. But if you don’t fall in either category, just tap the “Check for Update” button in Settings >> Software Update.

When you see a big Download and Install button in the same vicinity as the ChangeLog section, you’ll know the update is ready for installation. This patch will clear out 25 critical and high-risk vulnerabilities Samsung recently discovered in its firmware.

The company seems to be working on One UI 8.5 as well. This could show up in one of the later updates, probably on the Galaxy S26 series. It’s possible that One UI 8 needs some finishing touches, so this update might be an important one to look forward to. Keep watching the news for updates.
