The One UI 8 beta has been updated once again. This is the third iteration of Samsung’s Android 16-based operating system that’s currently being tested on the Galaxy S25 series. Users from the UK, Germany, and South Korea who already have the One UI 8 beta running on their devices can now download an even more stable version of this software.
As far as beta updates go, the new Android 16 x One UI 8 update has been pretty stable, except for some minor issues. But the third beta release fixes most of the bugs with its 1.2GB firmware update. The changelog should provide comprehensive details of all the changes.
It deals with a number of issues reported by beta users in the past couple of weeks. There was an overlap between the status bar of the running apps and the recent apps, which has been corrected through this new build. Another bug that was squashed by the update is misinput on the keyboard when you are on the Security Folder PIN screen.
Swipe gestures didn’t behave properly during text inputs, which has also been patched by the new beta update. The mode/routine menu took too long to open, so its wait duration has been reduced. An issue was recorded by the Samsung's latest flagship model, S25 Ultra users, where they get an error while inputting text with an S pen. The update deals with this issue as well.
The changelog also had some other details regarding software optimizations and some performance upgrades. The One UI 8 Beta 3 is the most stable Android 16 build so far, and it’s only going to get better from here on out. In a short period, we might even see Samsung officially release the stable build on one of its devices.
We hear the company plans to unveil its Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 duo a bit early this year. These newcomers are bound to come with a stable One UI 8 build, so we don’t need to hold our breath for long to see the Android 16 update in full force. Stick around if you want to stay in the loop.
