Samsung Galaxy S21 Fan Edition Specs and Pricing Leaked, Next-Gen Display & Lightweight Design

Samsung doesn’t seem to be overly concerned with leaks surrounding the Fan Edition of the Samsung Galaxy S21. Most official press images (meant for marketing) have already been leaked. Over the past few months, piecemeal reports kept uncovering the specs too. Its debut is still weeks away, and the rumor mill has dug up the official detailed specification sheet and pricing for the Galaxy S21 FE.

Two reputable publications, PhoneArena and WinFuture, leaked the price and the actual product specification section belonging to the Galaxy S21 FE. We also have a clear launch timeline for the upcoming Fan Edition.

The Galaxy S21 FE is more compact than its predecessor. We’re looking at a 6.4” screen, down from 6.5”. It’s a next-gen LTPO panel with 1000+ nits of brightness. Compared to the S20 FE, this Dynamic OLED allows smoother refresh rate adjustments. Plus, the new display is more power-efficient, contributing to longer battery life, even with the ‘Motion Smoothness’ feature turned on. The resolution peaks at 1080P. Gorilla Glass Victus, the strongest there is, protects the S21 FE. In addition, Samsung has hidden a fingerprint sensor beneath the screen.

The latest S21 Samsung mobile is also slimmer — its depth shrank from 8.4mm to 7.9mm. The manufacturer has also trimmed the bezel for a more streamlined aesthetic. It will lose weight too. The camera island is still fused with the chassis, but the contrast is subtle. This one-piece design comes in black, white, green, and violet colors.

The camera system is borrowed wholesale from the S20 FE, more or less. It’s a cluster of 12MP OIS wide-angle, 12MP ultra-wide, and 8MP OIS 3x telephoto lenses. But the new Snapdragon 888 chip and software features should bring upgrades to the camera experience.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE comes in two storage variants: 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. The former starts at $749 (~ Rs. 133,000,) and the fully specced out S21 FE is priced at $819 (~ Rs. 145,000.) However, this year, Samsung has bumped up the price by $50 (~ Rs. 8,900). It's slated for announcement on January 4 at the CES 2022 event. Samsung is already sending out invites for a keynote.
