Slowly but surely, all Galaxy devices are going back to their normal patch update schedules after One UI 8.5. Samsung Galaxy A37, however, had this new firmware by default. So it’s getting the June 2026 patch earlier than most handsets. And this update is being deployed on the global A37 version right off the bat.
The firmware version for the new update was seen in one of the Asian countries, by the way. It’s A376EXXS3AZF6. This is the global version for sure. And the firmware letters will match one-to-one when they choose to unlock the June patch on Pakistani A37, which will happen sooner than you think.
This June 2026 patch update has 45 general security fixes for most Galaxy phones. We assume the same goes for the A37 as well. 33 CVEs are from Google, by the way. That means the fixes patch the Android code at the center.
The upper One UI layer had 12 weak points, all patched by Samsung with this new update. They advise that five of the patches are critical and must be installed as soon as possible. Scan for the update on the regular even if it’s not unlocked in our region yet. Open Settings on your Galaxy A37 and scroll all the way down to the Software update menu, and tap the button that says Check for Updates. When they do unlock the patch in Pakistan, the Download and Install button shall appear next to the Changelog.
You can’t go back to an older firmware version unless you know how to unlock the bootloader and manually install the older build. So we always recommend you read the Changelog carefully. By the way, Galaxy A37 is eligible for Android 17 (One UI 9). The way things are going right now, it won’t take long for the Galaxy A37 to start One UI 9 beta testing.
