Currently, the latest generation of the flagship Realme X series is the Realme X7. Since it came out in the fall last year, Realme has its sequel lined up for launch soon. The new X9 skips a numerical generation and features Realme X9 Pro, and standard X9, and even a Master edition. Their respective specs and pricing were leaked online.

Courtesy of a leaker based on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, we learn that Realme is swapping MediaTek chips for Qualcomm silicon this year.

The Realme X9 will be the world’s first to debut with the Snapdragon 778G -- a premium mid-range 6nm mobile platform that Qualcomm introduced last month. Based on the leak, it starts from anywhere between 2000 Yuan and 2500 Yuan.

Realme X7 Pro has the Snapdragon 870 at its heart. For our readers out of the loop, the 870 is a repurposed, overclocked variant of last year’s Snapdragon 865+. The report puts its expected price between 2500 Yuan and 3000 Yuan. No details — save for the name —  are available for the X9 Master Edition yet.

In related news, a mystery Realme was also certified in China. Only known as RMX3366, this model was found on the TENNA database earlier this month. It features a 6.55” OLED panel, 4500 mAh battery, and Android 11. The screen delivers a full HD resolution at a high refresh rate.
