Realme Neo 8 Leaks Again; New Report Confirms Samsung-made 1.5K LTPS Display

Samsung rarely develops screens for Chinese smartphone manufacturers. They prefer BOE’s displays, which are way more affordable. But Realme is taking a different route with Realme Neo 8 since the company wants the best-of-the-best hardware for this flagship “gaming” handset.

We had seen some details before on the Realme Neo 8. One of them was the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 on this phone. That information came from Digital Chat Station a few days ago. It seems the same source has exposed the phone’s display specs now, and it involves a Samsung screen.

Apparently, the production has started on a Samsung screen that’s 6.78” in size and has a 1.5K resolution. It has those rounded corners that are popping up on Chinese phones these days. It’s also a flat LTPS AMOLED. Realme is obviously paying attention to battery efficiency here.

There’s an Ultrasonic fingerprint on the screen, apparently. If all of this turns out to be legit, the Realme 5G new mobile is more premium than we thought. DCS said the battery is very large on the presumed Neo 8. It starts with the number “8.” He didn’t tell the exact size.

Let’s just say the phone’s battery size is at least 8000 mAh. Realme Neo 7 only had a 7000mAh cell, so it’s already a big enough upgrade. This is one of the newer phones, so Realme UI 7 and Android 16 may show up on the Neo 8.

Also, the leaker dropped a hint that its camera is only 50MP. That’s a big deviation from GT 8 Pro’s setup. But we assume Neo 8 is sticking with its forerunner’s hardware. That also includes an 8MP ultrawide and a 16MP selfie. Again, this phone is from a gaming category, so the camera isn’t a priority.

You may have heard rumors about a slightly underclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 alternative to the original Elite chip. The leaker believes Realme Neo 8 will use that same SoC. These are all the details we have on this device so far. We’ll let you know if there are any more developments. Keep watching the news.
