Realme first launched the Realme 16 Pro/Pro+ and later unveiled the vanilla Realme 16 globally. Those three devices might be heading to Pakistan, as we speak. An insider reported that the Realme 16 series will arrive locally in the upcoming weeks. This is the company’s sub-flagship lineup, by the way. So you can expect premium hardware across the board.
Realme 16 Pro+ is obviously the leading handset, and its middle frame is constructed out of metal (Aluminium Alloy). The screen on this handset is bigger and less rounded at the corners, but it does look more premium with a 6.8” AMOLED 144Hz 1800 nits (HBM) panel. The resolution is 1280 x 2800 pixels or 1.5K.
Of course, it also has the fastest chipset of all: a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. They wired it to a 7000mAh Si/C battery, and its maximum charging speed is 80W. One of those cameras on the back has a 200MP OIS sensor. And that’s followed by a 50MP 3.5X (periscope telephoto), and an 8MP ultrawide.
The latest Realme 5G mobile comes second with a Plastic build and a flat 6.78” AMOLED. It’s more rounded at the corners with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. But the HBM brightness is a bit lower at 1400 nits. By the way, the standard Pro version is only 7.8mm thin (vs. 8.1mm on Pro+).
This handset is the second fastest with a Dimensity 7300 Max SoC. They skipped the pericope zoom camera on the Pro. Realme 16 Pro only used a 200MP main shooter on the back (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide. At least the 50MP selfie camera is common on all three of these newcomers. Realme 16 Pro’s battery is also 7000mAh (Si/C) with 80W charging.
Then comes the basic Realme 16, which we consider somewhat unique among the three versions. Its best feature is the rear selfie mirror on the camera island. So you can take perfectly aligned selfies from the rear 50MP sensor that produces much better images.
Realme 16’s display is the smallest 6.57” AMOLED with only a 120Hz refresh rate. The resolution is 1080p with 1400 nits HBM brightness. There’s a Dimensity 6400 Turbo (6 nm) SoC running inside. So it’s barely a midrange phone. A 7000mAh (Si/C) battery is here for backup. But the charging speed is reduced to 60W.
All three phones here have dual speakers and IP69K waterproof ratings. Each newcomer starts at Android 16 and promises 3 years of OS updates. These newcomers also have screen fingerprint readers, but for some reason, only the vanilla Realme 16 has the fast Ultrasonic fingerprint ID. The selfie sensor is 50MP on all three.
