Realme 14 5G & 14T 5G Officially Launched in Pakistan, Sales Start July 19 with Steep Prices

The company has officially launched the “Realme 14 5G” and “Realme 14T 5G” in Pakistan. They are late to the party, just as we suspected, and may have lost their impact among the local customers because of it. Sad to say, the series will be outdated just as it touches the stores, as the rest of the world moves on to the 15th series in a few weeks.

You should also note that Realme didn’t launch the Pro or the Pro Plus models to the market this time, keeping Pakistan on the sidelines. Regardless, you should keep in mind these pros and cons before you empty your wallets and buy the Realme 14 and 14T 5G.

Realme 14 5G

This is Pakistan’s first official phone with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip, which is able to output around 800,000 points on AnTuTu. Impressive, but not as great as almost similarly priced Dimensity 8350 user “Infinix Note 50 Pro Plus,” which beats that score with ~1.3million Antutu points.

There’s a decent AMOLED screen on its front with a 6.67” size, 120Hz refresh rate, 2000 nits brightness, and a 1080p resolution. But these specs have become average now and are pretty easy to find at this price bracket. Keep in mind that the screen doesn’t have any protection, so you’ll need to handle the phone with care.

Realme 14 5G only has a single functioning 50MP camera sensor on the back, and users report it has terrible HDR performance for video shoots and shallow audio recording. The image output is mediocre at best, and there’s no camera variety to speak of. A phone at this price should at least have an Ultrawide lens. Its selfie camera is 16MP, passable for day-to-day usage.

Global users also complain about its sluggish charging with a 45W input, but these reports need further investigation. At least the phone offers a respectable backup with a 6000mAh battery. You can buy this device at an official MSRP of Rs 99,999 in Pakistan for a 12/512GB memory trim. It will start retailing on July 19th only at Naeem Electronics, Selecto, and Holystar chain stores.

Realme 14T

The 14T variant, right off the bat, mimics the qualities of its higher-end sibling but at a slightly digestible price. However, you are paying that cost for almost half the performance, as they swap the chip for a Dimensity 6300 — an entry-level platform with only ~460,000 points on AnTuTu.

The weaker Mali-G57 MC2 GPU on this chip and the slower storage speeds are the reasons why they had to drop the phone’s video recording to 1080p 60FPS. There’s no 4K here. The single 50MP camera persists on this device with a side of a 2MP (depth or macro) sensor. The screen has a 16MP sensor slapped on top.

Users reported software glitches on this phone, UI hangups, app crashes, and a lack of camera optimization, which definitely affects its low-light photos. These setbacks are the reason why we believe the Realme 14T is out of place for a series that’s supposed to represent Realme’s high-performance products.

At least, this one still has a 6000mAh battery and even the same 45W input. But its performance might be slightly worse due to the missing silicon carbon anode. Realme 14T will set you back Rs 79,000 in Pakistan, and there’s only a single 12/256GB storage option. It’s also beginning sales on July 19th, available at the same stores as mentioned above.
