It wouldn’t take long for the official release of the Reno 16 series in China, as it’s reported to happen sometime this month. We are expecting to see three devices: Reno 16, 16 Pro, and 16c. The global market would skip the “c” variant and introduce an “F” version, like always. The global Oppo Reno 16 Pro and Reno 16 F have been granted multiple certifications. This is what we learned.
The listings were all over the place, so we had to consolidate them. Reno 16 Pro is model “CPH2863.” The Reno 16F is actually the model code “CPH2859.” These numbers were scattered in the UAE’s TDRA listing. The European EEC has also put up listings for the two.
We also came across the NBTC filings for the Oppo latest Pro model and Reno 16F. And even the TÜV Rheinland database has the official entries for these two newcomers. Of course, the certification listings don’t have much to reveal about the handsets, but at least they paint the launch trajectory for individual markets.
There was a mention of the two model numbers on the NBD database, where we have confirmation of their bigger 12/512GB memory trims. And coincidentally, those listings also confirm that the Reno 16 Pro and Reno 16F are potentially coming to Pakistan.
It will take a long time before they are here. Global launch for this series is actually rumored for around July. Another Oppo phone was seen on the NBD database: CPH2865 (12/256GB) with a 6.58” screen. It could be one of the Reno 16 series phones, possibly the global vanilla Reno 16. But that’s merely a guess.
The Chinese Reno 16 and 16 Pro have often been seen in leaks. There’s a chance that the Pro will grab a Dimensity 9500. And the vanilla version might use the lesser Dimensity 8500 SoC. The teasers spree will begin soon enough, and the official details will start pouring out. Keep watching the news for updates.
