Oppo A6 4G Set to Launch in Pakistan Next Week; Official Product Page Goes Live

Oppo A6 will debut in Pakistan a day after tomorrow. Everything else about this device has been revealed on the local Oppo site, except the price range. This newcomer is basically an entry-level handset. The only exceptions are the 7000 mAh battery and official IP69 rating. Here’s what you need to know.

Oppo’s social media pages are starting to fill with Oppo A6 teasers. They even updated their cover on Facebook. One of their video teasers has confirmed that this device will be unveiled on 1st December. The newcomer’s product page has already appeared on the local site with all the specs.

There’s apparently a Snapdragon 685 running on this phone, which, again, is an entry-level chip. This chip isn’t exactly known for high-end performance, but still, Oppo has installed a 3900mm² SuperCool VC System on it. The chipset may not take advantage of the cooling system, but the battery will.

Oppo's latest A model apparently uses the same 7000mAh battery as the Pro version. But this new model bumps the thickness to 8.6mm and the weight to 215g. Your muscles might need some getting used to if you buy this handset. The screen is a weak point in an otherwise respectable spec sheet.

They chose a 720p HD+ panel for the vanilla Oppo A6. This is a 6.75” IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1125nits HBD brightness. Also, it only covers 85% of DCI-P3’s color gamut range. It’s not exactly a high color-accuracy panel. There are only 16.7 million colors on this 8-bit LCD.

That camera you see on the back is just a 50MP Main unit, helped by a 2MP monochrome shooter. The front sensor on this phone is 8MP. You can record 1080p videos on it (front and back). The SD 685 chip bottlenecks the video quality on this device.

We also found that the Oppo A6 complies with an official IP69 waterproof rating. You can completely submerge this phone in water for extended periods. That 7000 mAh battery we mentioned has a 45W SUPERVOOC charging backup. We suspect the A6’s official price might range from Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000. The launch is happening on 1st December. We’ll give you the exact retail price on launch coverage, so keep watching the news.
