Galaxy S26 Ultra has been leaked yet again, and this new report by IceUniverse has confirmed a few suspicions about the device. Previous rumors said that there’s no upgrade for the Main camera this year. Samsung will stick to its 200MP Main shooter. The leaker behind today’s leak has alleged the same thing.
Samsung has been dragging that HP5 ISOCELL 200MP camera for generations now. Galaxy S26 Ultra is believed to have the same sensor. But the leaker suggests there might be a possibility of a bigger lens aperture. That, and the usual software optimizations, should enhance the camera quality.
The 200MP sensor isn’t all that different from the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s. The only change is the aperture. We only had an f/1.7 lens opening for the Main camera last time. They are widening it to around f/1.4. At least that’s what the leaker believes the main change could be.
We have already seen the new design and heard rumors about the thicker camera bump for the Samsung latest Ultra mobile. So it does seem like a possibility. This small aperture change will allow more light to enter the sensor. That’s your typical recipe for sharper, brighter, and more dynamic shots.
Ice didn’t just leak the Main camera. There were some specs on the secondary cameras as well. They’ll stick to the original 50MP IMX854 periscope telephoto and the 50MP JN5 Ultrawide sensor on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. There’s usually a 10MP second telephoto shooter on the phone, but this year, they might bump it up to 12MP (Samsung S5K3LD).
The selfie camera will be 12MP, same as always. The leaker reports it should be a Sony IMX874. Little else is known about the phone. We’ve heard reports saying it could grab 60W charging instead of 45W.
Of course, the OS and chipset will level up to Android 16 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. They will change the phone’s design, obviously. You can see it in the renders. We’ll probably find more details about Galaxy S26 Ultra before launch. Keep watching the news for updates.
