The last round of leaks surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S21 series brings us its official product renders and camera specifications. The credible industry analyst Evan Blass just leaked the promotional infographics for the Galaxy S21 and S21 Ultra, confirming the rumors.

Just as they did with their last Ultra, Samsung is playing the numbers game with the Galaxy S21 Ultra. It has five cameras, four on the back and one on the front. The primary camera uses an f/1.8 lens and a high-resolution 108MP sensor, likely a tweaked version of the ISOCELL HM2 that the company recently unveiled. S20 Ultra’s 48MP periscope camera has been replaced with two 10MP telephoto lenses. Reportedly, this new periscope-telephoto camera offers a whopping 10x optical zooming. The second telephoto lens retains its 3x lossless magnification. Wide-angle photos are taken with a 12MP sensor.

Instead of recycling the 3D ToF that caused autofocus issues in the Galaxy S20 Ultra, Samsung has replaced it with a LaserAF module. For selfies, you get an f/2.2 lens and a 40MP sensor behind it.

In a new trailer, Samsung teased the details and the incredible zooming capabilities of their new Galaxy S21 flagship camera. Without giving any details away, the animated teaser highlights the improved autofocus and detailed loss-free shots.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 (and the S21+ by extension) features the camera setup from last year — a 12MP, f/1.8 standard wide, a 12MP ultra-wide, a 64MP telephoto lens, and a 10MP f/2.2 front camera.

Since the hardware is the same, the improvements will come from the new chips (either Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100, based on region) and Samsung’s latest image processing software. The Galaxy S21 trio is launching on January 14th at the virtual Galaxy Unpacked event.
