Want to daily drive a Xiaomi phone? This is as low as you get in terms of price and affordability. Xiaomi Redmi A7 Pro has been launched in Pakistan, and there are two variants to pick from: 64GB and 128GB. The screen is massive as always, and the battery has been upgraded this year.

The cell capacity has gone up from 5200mAh to 6000mAh, but this is still a low-tier phone, so they kept the same 15W charging. Apparently, this battery has 1000 charge cycles. And claims to do 35 hours of video playback on a single charge, which is not too shabby.
The screen has wet touch control 2.0, and the Xiaomi latest A mobile itself has minor water safety. This newcomer has a huge display. It’s a 6.9” IPS screen, 720p HD+ at a 120Hz refresh rate. This panel will get as bright as 800 nits in HBM mode, so it has decent enough readability under the sun.

By the way, the processor doesn’t really inspire confidence in the phone’s performance, but this newcomer does have UFS 2.2 storage, so at least the app loading speeds are snappy. It’s Unisoc T7250 (12 nm) engine, 1.8GHz with Mali G57 MP1.

That weak SoC will lag just running the UI on the Redmi A7 Pro. It has the full Android 16 version (HyperOS 3) and only 4GB RAM to handle background tasks. Multiatking is out of the question here. The camera setup on this device is far from the best, but serviceable.
They’ve put a single 13MP unit on the back. It’s a 1/3.06” sensor at f/2.2. You’ll need good lighting to take usable photos with this camera. And the A7 Pro has an 8 MP f/2.0 selfie snapper on the screen notch. Both sides can do 1080p 30FPS recording, which is usually the case with these low–tier phones.
HDR photos can be taken with the camera. There’s a side fingerprint reader and barrel headphone jack. It even has a 48-month fluency rating. The base Redmi A7 Pro version at 4/64GB will cost Rs 33,999 in Pakistan. And the 4/128GB trim is priced at Rs 36,999.
