Redmi A7 lineup has a Pro model this time. The fact was confirmed by Thailand’s NBTC authority last month when they cleared the Redmi A7 Pro. Some time has passed now, and the company has also earned certification for the global Xiaomi Redmi A7.

The very first thing we found is the Redmi A7’s moniker next to the model code 26020RNB4A. It’s written right at the top in the NBTC document. There’s one more fact the certification revealed, and it seems important to note here. Redmi A7 is a 4G-only device.
Redmi A7 Pro is also a 4G handset, so the basic Xiaomi latest Redmi model scoring the same antenna bands makes sense. We also found this very same handset on the European EEC certification. They tried to obscure the name. Only exposed the model number. NBTC helped put a name to the face.

These certifications don’t have a lot to go on. But the rumor mill does reveal that some markets will grab the same Redmi A7 and A7 Pro as the sister brand’s Poco C81 and C81 Pro. They’ve recast devices in the same way before, so we believe that claim has some weight.

That leaves a few clues for us to explore. If the A7 siblings are really rebranded as the Poco C81 duo, a Unisoc T7250 SoC is likely being used here with 4GB RAM no less. These are sub-entry-level phones, by all means. There’s going to be a 6.9” IPS LCD, and it’s almost a guarantee that the resolution is HD+.

Imagine a Redmi phone close to $100, with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the $600 iPhone 17e gets slapped with a 60Hz panel. It’s a petty and intentional move by Apple. If Redmi A7 can do it, so should the entry-level iPhone. Anyway, we found that the series could use a 50MP main camera.
There’s possibly a 13MP selfie here. Then comes the battery on the A7/C81 series, which is 6,000 mAh. But there’s only hope for 15W slow charging. It will definitely take some time to learn the exact specs of each device. So let’s be patient and keep watching the news.
