Xiaomi Poco F5 and F5 Pro to Head Out Next Month; Launch Date and Features Spilled

Poco’s F-series catalog will soon expand. The next-gen Xiaomi Poco F5 phones are on their way, with plans to bring semi-flagship hardware and a somewhat familiar design. Based on what the rumor mill has spilled, both newcomers will head out next month to one of the Asian countries. Here’s a breakdown of the new leak.

While Xiaomi’s partner brand Poco has gained a significant following over the last few years, they have yet to demonstrate innovation in the province of smartphone design. Poco F5 and F5 Pro have exteriors identical to Redmi’s upcoming Note 12 Turbo and the China-exclusive Redmi K60. The turbo Redmi phone will go official in a matter of days, clearing the way for the F5 duo’s launch on April 6th.

Among the specs we’ve discovered, Poco F5 and F5 Pro seem well-rounded, bringing flagship SoCs, 120Hz displays, extensive batteries, and fast charging speeds. The Pro variant stands out the most when it comes to performance.

The Higher end Poco F phone will draw power from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, 2022’s ultimate flagship chipset. Featuring an OLED 6.67-inch display, the F5 Pro will rock a solid 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate with lightweight MIUI 14 x Android 13. If you're looking for information on the pricing and specifications of the Poco F5 Pro, the Xiaomi price catalog is the place to go.

Energizing the system will be a 5500mAh cell backed by 67W fast charging wired and 30W wireless support. Expect up to 16Gigs of RAM and 512Gigs of storage space with the highest-end Pro. In-camera stats, it has a 64MP OIS primary, 8MP secondary, and 2MP tertiary sensor.

Vanilla Poco F5, on the other hand, will get Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 on board with Android 13 OS. It has the same 5,500mAh battery, following the same 67W fast charging; however, users will not find wireless recharge here. Embedded with a side-facing fingerprint ID, it will boast flat rails circumventing a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. F5’s rear camera will feature 50MP + 8MP + 2MP combo.
