You may remember the Redmi 15C that arrived in Pakistan about a month ago. Poco C85 is a replica of that phone, only with Poco’s signature design and better RAM/storage. With the 15C, you could only grab up to 6GB RAM. Poco C85 has now landed in Pakistan with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
If you don’t care about more memory or storage, there’s no reason why you should buy this pricier Poco C85 model. You can make do with the cheaper Redmi 15C. That said, you can’t go wrong with either of these models. They have identical specs, edging on the entry level.
Even though it’s Poco’s least expensive handset, the C85 doesn’t cut any corners when it comes to power. It has a 6000mAh battery that can be recharged at a 33W input. The newcomer hits 810 nits of brightness on a 6.9” IPS display.
Yes, the Xiaomi Poco new model has a massive 6.9” screen on its front, one of its signature qualities. And this is a 120Hz panel as well. The content may not look as sharp due to its HD+ resolution, but the animations will feel buttery smooth, as long as you don’t run anything CPU or GPU-heavy.
The SoC running the show is an old Helio G81 Ultra with a 2.0GHz peak clock speed. The phone has been given the full-fledged Android 15 x Hyper OS 2, so the performance may not be as smooth. Luckily, the Poco C85 has been upgraded to 8GB RAM, so expect passable multitasking on this newcomer.
Poco C85 doesn’t have the most impressive camera hardware either. The images taken from its 50MP main unit are still serviceable, though. The selfie shooter is positioned in a mini water drop notch on the screen with an 8MP sensor size. You can take 1080p 30FPS videos on either side.
The C85 passed an IP64 rating and TUV approved it for complete eye safety. We also have dual-band WiFi here, and there’s Fingerprint ID on the side. A single speaker and an NFC chip are also part of the package. Poco C85 (8/256GB) costs Rs 39,999 in Pakistan. The price is higher than the Redmi 15C because of more storage and memory.
