The flagship launch is close. They are about to unveil the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max soon, and today’s 3C certification is proof that their initial release will be in China. The platform also showed us the phone’s supported adapter and charging speed details.
3C had model numbers M154FF and M311AD, which are supposedly two devices in the Xiaomi 18 Pro series. We had a hunch that there would be little disparity between the Pro and Pro Max. Well, 3C has backed it up, as it shows the same 100W charging speed on both handsets.
They both have the same power adapter that seems to output 5V 3A (15W) minimum, and up to 20V at 5A (100W). Sadly, the listing doesn’t go beyond this small but useful detail. Anyway, it’s hardly the first time we’ve seen Xiaomi 18 Pro on a certification platform.
Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max have both been registered at SRRC, by the way. They do have Ultrawide Band (UWB) support and N79 5G bands for 5G carriers. They want to put the new Snapdragon chip on both handsets, so there’s definitely a performance upgrade on the way. Find updated Xiaomi smartphone prices, features, and specifications in one place.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro and non-Pro versions of the chip are not yet official, but we’ll see one of those chips on the Xiaomi 18 Pro/Pro Max. This is the first chip Qualcomm has made on a 2nm process node. Though the die size is larger this time. Not exactly sure if it’s more power efficient.
We did find from various sources that the series will grab a 200MP main camera next to another 200MP periscope telephoto camera. Both phones have those sensors, but the Pro Max will step it up with a telephoto macro mode and LOFIC HDR. Of course, they’ll have ultrawide cameras as well. Keep watching the news for more updates.
