Vivo Y600 is about to launch, and the first official teaser has already made it to the internet. This will be a Chinese debut, not a global one. The new teaser gave up the schedule, too. They want to unveil the Vivo Y600 on October 30th, which is right around the corner. This is everything we know about it.
Vivo Y600 is not alone. It actually spun into a whole series, but the main phone hadn’t made it. That will change as they debut the Y600 next week. Apparently, this newcomer has the second-best battery in the whole lineup after the Y600 Pro.
They’ll put a 10,000mAh cell inside this newcomer. That’s just 200mAh short of the Y600 Pro’s battery size. But the vanilla Vivo Y new model somehow got the Guinness Record for longest endurance. This test was done on August 11th, by the way. They were waiting for the right time to brag about it.
The phone kept going for 32 hours and 37 minutes on a live stream. Not exactly sure what the parameters were for the test. The numbers look great on paper regardless. And just so you know, the Y600 visited Google Play Console earlier, so we have a few internal details.
This newcomer is 5G. Vivo Y600 is supposed to carry a 1.5K resolution AMOLED, and the chipset inside would be a Dimensity 7300e (MediaTek MT6858). There’s only 6GB of RAM here, probably the base version. And no Android 17. The phone is actually listed with Android 16, which is disappointing.
We even saw a leak on this device. It’s possible that the new Vivo Y600 picked up a 50MP main camera. And of course, midrange phones like this, especially the ones from Vivo, are pretty durable. So the Vivo Y600 would probably end up with at least an IP68 rating.
These are all familiar specs if you think about it. Vivo S2 FE debuted not long ago. And it had the same set of specs. Even the design matches. So the Vivo Y600 could just be a rebranded version with a 6.83” AMOLED at 120Hz with 2000 nits peak brightness.
