Vivo X80 series made its global debut over the weekend, following a typical China-first release in April 2022. It features the Vivo X80 and X80 Pro. The duo just dropped in Malaysia, and the baseline X80 is also heading to Pakistan soon. You can find the teasers and promos on the official Vivo Pakistan website.

Vivo X80

The big highlight of the series is its imaging features. Vivo co-engineered the X80 camera system with ZEISS. The new IMX866 image sensor is paired with Vivo’s custom V1+ image processor. Cinematic Video Bokeh allows for the anamorphic lens effect, AI Video Enhancement lights up videos in dark mode, OIS keeps them steady, and preloaded filmmaking LUTs & timelapse capture completes the cinematic videography experience.

Zeiss also designed several portrait bokeh modes for the X80 — Sonarr bokeh, planar bokeh, distagon bokeh, and biotar bokeh. Night mode works with the portrait camera to keep the skin tones natural and faces in focus. Lastly, Zeiss T* coating on the lenses prevents ghosting and image artifacts. It’s all powered by a cluster of 50MP wide, 12MP ultra-wide, and 12MP telephoto cameras.

The screen is a stunning 6.78” 1080P, 120Hz AMOLED. It curves along the edges, houses the 32 MP front camera inside a hole punch, and features an in-display optical fingerprint reader. MediaTek Dimensity 9000, 4500 mAh battery, and 80W FlashCharge run the Vivo X80.

FunTouch OS 12 (based on Android 12), 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage round off the Vivo X80. The handset is expected to land in Pakistan on May 15 at an expected price of Rs. 149,999.

Vivo X80 Pro

The Pro is the real showstopper. It’s the most premium flagship Vivo offers, rocking a 2K LTPO AMOLED with 1500 nits of eye-popping brightness. The latest Vivo Pro mobile is identical in design to the X80, save for heftier dimensions and an extra camera on the back.

The image sensor behind the primary camera here is Samsung-made. It’s a 50MP camera paired with advanced OIS. The extra 8MP 5x periscope zoom lens is also OIS stabilized. And the camera app offers all the features the X80 does.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is at the heart of the Vivo X80 Pro, powered by a 4700 mAh, 80W FlashCharge, and 50W wireless charging. You get up to 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage. The Pro comes in a single Cosmic Black color and starts from RM 4,999 (~ Rs. 214,000.) But Unfortunately, the Pro won't make it to Pakistan, only the standard Vivo X80 5G is coming and will cost around RM 3,499 or about Rs. 149,999
