Vivo has already announced the launch date for the X300 series and is currently pushing out teasers to build up the hype. The Vivo X300 and X300 Pro will hit the Chinese market on October 13th. They are still a few weeks away, but the specs are already piling up. We even found their color options in a set of promotional images.
Vivo X300’s color palette is a vibrant one. This is a compact model with a smaller footprint, which seems to include Lucky Color, Cozy Purple, Free Blue, and Pure Black colors. The pastel hues go well with a huge black crater on the phone’s back with a centered ZEISS logo.
The circular camera deco is back, not only on the X300, but also on the Vivo X300 Pro. The latter also comes in four colors, but it has a selection of slightly less saturated and natural tones. The Pro is going with a Wilderness Brown, Simple White, Free Blue, and a Pure Black color.
These are flagship phones with shells made out of premium material. The rear is full glass, and the sides are metal — the exposed antenna bands on the middle frame are a clear hint. The edges look sharper than ever, and the displays are completely flat.
As said before, the Vivo's flagship new mobile is a compact handset with a 6.31” OLED screen at the front. This is a thick phone of 7.95 millimeters, although it isn’t quite as bulky as the X300 Pro, which is 7.99mm in depth. The Pro has a bigger frame and, as a result, a larger 6.78” display.
Vivo has also teased camera accessories for both phones. You can see a 2.5x telephoto lens extender that is screwed on top of the camera bump. The X300 and X300 Pro are both outfitted with camera grips at their bottoms, which essentially turn them into makeshift DSLRs.
They didn’t say if these ZEISS-branded camera accessories will be free, but Vivo did verify that the extended lens will add Kepler optical zoom with 13 glass elements to deliver a 200mm focal range. You can use it on the Pro’s 200MP 3.5x telephoto or the vanilla X300’s 200MP main camera. By the way, each device has a Dimensity 9500 chip and a Vivo V3+ Image optimization engine.
