Vivo V80 Series Set to Expand with New FE Model; Here’s What We Know

Usama Rasool

Vivo already unveiled the standard Vivo V80 and V80 Lite, so what’s this new handset that appeared on SDPPI’s database yesterday? Last year’s lineup had a V70 FE. It seems the new model is the successor to that version with the name “Vivo V80 FE.” The Indonesian certifier just spilled the tea on its model code and moniker.

The listing doesn’t have much in the way of hardware specs. But SDPPI did have a clue that will help us uncover details about V80 FE in the future. Don’t worry. We’ll be reporting our findings, so you’ll stay in the loop every step of the way.

Vivo V80 FE is definitely coming to Indonesia, probably one of the first regions where this phone will land. The model code they showed on the index is V2624. Sadly, we couldn’t extract any specs from their certification, but we can tell you what to expect based on patterns.

Vivo latest V model or even the Vivo V80 Lite aren’t really all that different from their predecessors. So maybe the V80 FE is headed in the same direction. Most of the specs found on the V70 FE will most likely reappear on this newcomer.

The V70 FE was actually a solid midranger with Dimensity 7360 Turbo and 8GB RAM. That device had a 200MP main camera. There was only an 8MP Ultrawide camera next to it. The FE didn’t have any periscope telephoto camera. And its selfie camera was either 32MP or 50MP (regional variation).

By the way, their old Vivo V70 FE had a huge AMOLED at 6.83”. This was a 1.5K sharp panel. It had a 120Hz refresh rate. Vivo V80 FE could have the same screen. But they may upgrade the battery. The original FE already had one of the best batteries at 7000mAh. So it can only get better from this point. Keep watching the news for more updates.
