Vivo V27 Series Purported with Substantial Camera and Hardware Upgrades; Have a Look

Vivo will soon expand the mid-range V catalog with the new and improved V27 series. V25 successors evolve to bring unique designs, hardware, and cameras. Recently, Rumor-mill vaguely pointed out their launch timeframe, and now a few of their key specs have leaked.

The new mid-range catalog should include the vanilla V27 and the semi-flagship phone, the Vivo V27 Pro. Among the highlight upgrades for the new series, users can expect multiple improvements to the camera system and hardware. Here’s what we know so far.

Compared to the V23 series, V25’s didn’t receive any significant improvement. That’s about to change. The new V27 series looks to be a substantial upgrade. 91Mobiles, a well-versed source from the leak circles, claims that the vanilla V27, unlike previous phones from the same category, will receive a curved screen alongside the Pro model.

Both pro and vanilla models abound with high-end Sony sensors for the cameras, with improved night photography. V27 phones have upgraded SoCs too. Sourcing an insider report, 91Mobile claims that Vivo new budget model has a flagship-tier chip, MTK Dimensity 8200. Both models are likely to inherit color-changing panels from their predecessors.

Earlier reports claimed the V27 series is just a rebranded Vivo S16 catalog from 2022. The new report syncs with previous claims. They might also share designs and hardware. S16 and S16 Pro hold curved AMOLED screens with slim profiles and minimal bezel widths. Both feature triple camera setups on rectangular islands with ring LEDs.

Purported with an incoming launch in Asia, the V27 series is likely to unveil sometime later this month. The lowest configuration on the Pro model, 8/128GB, should cost ~$485 or roughly 132,000 PKR.
