Vivo V20 (2021) Certified in Two Countries; Launch Expected Next Month

It's no news that Smartphone makers are flooding the market with refreshed phone releases, one after another. Oppo launched three generations of its Reno series just this year. And it's not the only brand to do so. Vivo recently wrapped up the Vivo V20 release, and it has already secured certifications for its predecessor.

The Upcoming handset is said to be the Vivo V20 2021, yet another confusing name from the company was approved by the Indian BIS and Indonesia Telecom authorities.

Folks over at MySmartPrice first spotted the certification documents, which list the new V20 under the model number "vivo V2040". The product is ready to go into production, and we might see it make its debut as early as January.

At the time of this writing, no solid specifications or leaks are available not even the Vivo mobile price. But to speculate, Vivo V20 (2021) would further the focus on design and selfies, which has been front and center in the marketing for the V20 series. Expect the eye autofocus feature for selfies to return. Not to mention the featherweight design that's common to all V20 phones.

A chipset upgrade is in the cards (the V20 from this year runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G.). And unless Vivo decides to trim down the battery, the new Vivo V20 (2021) should pack at least 4000 mAh of battery capacity.

Plus, Vivo's Android11-based OriginOS (replaces the FunTouchOS) starts rolling out in January. It'd make sense for the V20 (2021) to ship with the new operating system.
