Spark 50 launched solo in May. Now there’s a new model in the series. The design is copied from iPhones. And the camera layout is borrowed from the Pova 8. This is the new globally unveiled Tecno Spark 50 Pro. There are four colors and two battery versions. The phone is apparently built for durability and endurance.

There are two battery versions, which we already saw coming (via certifications). There’s one with 5600mAh capacity. It’s not a lot, but this does save Tecno from regulatory headaches. Then there’s a 6000mAh version. Both batteries are supposed to have 1900 charge cycles, or 80% health retention after 6 years.

Tecno new Spark mobile will recharge those batteries at 60W. Apparently, 30 minutes is all you need to refill 63% of the cell. There are charging modes on the phone that either prioritize speed or heat control. And it leaves the choice up to you when you plug in the device.

Helio G100 does the heavy lifting. That’s pretty much an entry-level chip at 2.2GHz. It’s 6nm with Mali G57 GPU. AnTuTu scores fall in the 550,000 range on average. It’s a Spark series phone at the end of the day, so this is as good as it gets.

We saw its hands-on images at GSMArena. It seems to have very chunky bezels and an even more extreme chin at the bottom. The Spark 50 Pro caps the screen resolution to 720p HD+. The LCD is 6.78”, and it pushes pixels at 120Hz. The phone itself is 7.8mm thin.

The rear camera is just a single 50MP unit. It’s a Sony LYTIA 600 outsole 1/1.95”. Apparently, it has FlashSnap, which is rated for shutter speeds of 1/10,000th of a second. So it’s pretty good at snapping photos of moving objects. The selfie camera is 8MP.

SGS gave it a 5-star drop safety rating. Spark 50 Pro is also fully waterproof with IP68 and IP69 ratings. AI Noise Cancellation for calls is built into its Android 16 HiOS firmware. It even has the FreeLink 2.0 off-grid communication with peer devices. Stereo speakers output audio with a DTS tune-up.
