Tecno unveiled two devices back-to-back in Pakistan for the budget and flagship classes. There’s the Camon 50 Ultra that was announced just two days ago. And now the Tecno Spark 50 has landed in the local market, and the handset is quite reasonably priced. This is everything you need to know.
The version deployed here is the 4G Spark 50. So it’s way weaker than the original 5G handset. This particular model has a basic Helio G81 chip. There’s Android 16 as the phone’s default OS. A single memory trim comes to Pakistan with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The screen is serviceable, but not what we’d call impressive for the price. It’s a 6.78” IPS LCD. The size is decent, but it’s still just an HD+ 720p panel that pushes pixels at 120Hz speed. They didn’t give any brightness figures. We are assuming it hovers in the 500 nits range.
The design could fool anyone into thinking it’s an iPhone 17 Pro. The camera bar has triple lenses and a flash pushed to the opposite corner. Of course, two pieces are for decoration, and only one lens works with a 50MP camera. The selfie snapper is on the screen with 8MP resolution.
They made the new Tecno Spark model thicker with an 8.2mm depth. But you do get a way bigger 7000mAh battery on this newcomer. Yes, it will last way longer. Sadly, they had to cut back on the charging speed to make this work. The newcomer only supports 18W.
The Spark 50 4G is drop safe (1.8 meters). An IP64 rating should keep this handset safe from water splashes or rain, although it’s not fully waterproof for submersion. There’s no fingerprint on the screen, since it doesn’t have an AMOLED. So it sticks to a side-facing scanner.
There are two speakers for stereo audio. Infrared Remote and FreeLink Call 2.0 are added to the system. Of course, you get all kinds of AI features in the pre-baked Tecno AI suite. AI Call Noise Cancellation is now their flagship AI tool for the package. Tecno Spark 50 4G (6/128GB) only costs Rs 43,999 in Pakistan.
