Tecno has officially unveiled its Camon 19 series for the global market during a launch event at the Rockefeller Center in New York. The real showstoppers were the Camon 19 Pro and its 5G Edition. The 19 Neo and the vanilla 19 were also announced; however, the information about their specifications is still scarce.

Tecno Camon 19 Pro and Pro 5G

The Camon 19 Pro 5G is the pioneer of a Samsung-made 64 MP RGBW camera sensor. Tecno has also embellished its front with the "industry’s slimmest bezel," measuring at a mere 0.98mm.

It has a stunning 6.8’’ Full HD+, 120Hz panel with a punch-hole cutout housing the 16 MP selfie snapper. The back of the phone features a diamond coating and a dual-ring rear camera design that houses three lenses. It comprises a jaw-dropping 64 MP ISOCELL RGBW primary, a 2MP depth, and a 2MP AI sensor.

A Mediatek Dimesity 810 powers the Tecno Camon 19 Pro's 5G variant, paired with 8GB RAM and 128 GB/256 GB UFS 2.2 storage variants.

The non-5G Camon 19 Pro (the one coming to Pakistan has a Mediatek Helio G96 SoC at its core. The primary shooter at the back is kept at 64 MP supporting OIS but loses the RGBW technology. A 50 MP telephoto camera and a 2 MP portrait lens replace the other two sensors of the 5G model.

Other identical specifications include a 5,000 mAh battery supporting 33W Super Flash charging, Android 12, and side-mounted fingerprint sensors. The 8GB+256GB variant of Camon 19 Pro 5G will be priced at $320 (66,000 PKR), while the Camon 19 Pro will start at $280 (58,000 PKR).

The Standard Camon 19 relies on an Helio G96 chipset and a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W flash charging for power. The rear triple-camera setup is packed with a 64 MP wide, 2 MP depth, 2 MP AI shooter, and a Quad-LED flash, while the front houses a 16 MP lens.

The LCD display is kept at 6.8’’ with Full HD+ resolution. There are 4GB/6GB variants of the Camon 19 with 128GB storage. Like the Pro variant, it also comes with Android 12, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and NFC support.

Overall, this year, the new series has a more polished and premium design. No other concrete details are available for the internal specs or the expected price of the Tecno Camon 19 standard variant yet. The Phones will start rolling out to the global markets (including Pakistan) later this month.
