Following a brief pre-order window, the Tecno Camon 17 series is now available in stores, both online and offline. With each Camon 17 purchase, Tecno is throwing in a free pair of TWS earbuds. Here's the feature set and pricing for the Camon 17 and 17 Pro duo.

The Tecno Camon 17 Pro has a 6.8” IPS LCD that delivers a full HD resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits of peak brightness. A cutout containing the front camera is punched right through its center. The 82% screen-to-body ratio is on the lower end, however.

As is typical of the Camon series, the camera system is at the front and center here. Camon 17 Pro features a 64MP f/1.8 wide lens, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 119˚ FoV, a pair of 2MP depth and mono sensors, and a 48MP selfie lens. The camera app supports many creative videography modes. Plus, Night, bokeh, and AR emoji features.

The MediaTek Helio G95 and a 5000 mAh battery power the Camon 17 Pro. You get 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage, expandable via a microSD card. The quick charger in the box delivers up to 25W of power. Lastly, the Android11-based HiOS runs on the Pro.

Tecno Camon 17 Pro build includes a side-facing thumbprint reader, a 3.5mm audio jack, and speakers with dual stereo support. You can pick from California Silver and Malibu Blue. It starts from PKR 31,999.

The standard Camon 17 has a smaller, lower-resolution 720P display. We’re looking at a 6.6” panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and 450 nits of peak brightness. A 16MP selfie camera is embedded off-center in this screen.

Around the back of the new additions to the Tecno price list, we find a generic 48MP camera, combined with a 2MP portrait sensor and one unspecified “AI” lens to pad the count.

No wide-angle mode is offered here, but the Camon 17 retains the bokeh, videography, and nightscape features.

Camon 17’s chip is Helio G85 that works with a 5000 mAh battery (its fast charging is capped at 18W.) The fingerprint scanner occupies the back of the phone, and the build lacks dual speakers. You still get 128GB of storage, but the memory is trimmed down to 4GB/6GB. It’s priced at Rs. 24,999.
