The beta One UI 9 is out, and it’s been tested by hundreds of Samsung Galaxy S26 users worldwide ever since May. We believe the One UI 9 is on its 4th beta update at this point. So it won’t be long before we see a stable version on the Galaxy S26 series. It would appear that they’ve already started the internal testing for stable One UI 9.
Any stable build of the One UI that hasn’t been made public yet gets spotted by the leakers early on Samsung servers. The same happened to the One UI 9 that might have popped early and got flagged by a leaker on X, and Fahad Ali Javed was considerate enough to put the details online.
It would take months before the beta updates turn into stable One UI 9 on the Samsung new S mobile series, but it’s nice to know that they are working on a stable version and are close to the finish line. That said, we still haven’t seen any action on the previous models.
There were also some internal One UI 9 beta builds on Samsung’s server for the Galaxy S23, S24, and S25 series, but the public beta is still missing from all these models. That’s typical Samsung being cautious. They’ll make sure that One UI 9 is polished enough before it’s made public.
Plenty of beta testing needs to be done before we see a stable One UI 9 update on any of the Galaxy S models. It will be months before that happens. But we are about to see the first set of devices that officially support One UI 9 out of the box.
Yes, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and 8 Ultra with Galaxy Z Flip 8 will all run the stable One UI 9. Of course, their firmwares will have plenty in common with the current running One UI 9 betas on the Galaxy S26 series. Keep watching the news for more updates.
