A new update has rolled out for the Galaxy S24. It’s the Feb 2026 security patch. The update is being deployed on all three Galaxy S phones from 2024, though it is currently restricted to South Korea. Of course, once Samsung is done with its hometown, we’ll see this update in more areas.
This OTA is unlocked for the three primary phones. Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra will all receive the update at the same time. It is just a security patch. Don’t expect many bug fixes or performance optimizations of any kind.
The simple update package of ~441 MB includes 37 patches for the vulnerabilities found in the older firmware. The update will bring the firmware version to S91xNKSS7EZB2. Tarun Vats initially found the details. And SamMobile expanded on this leak after.
By the way, the 37 fixes they have here are not all from Samsung. The core Android has received 25 of those from Google. And Samsung contributed to the remaining 12. Some patches, if not all, will apply to those Galaxy phones that have stalled at Android 14 or 15.
Any weak points found in the Knox Guard Manager, Emergency Sharing, or even the Facial and Fingerprint scanner app have been addressed by the February 2026 security patch. This update will kick off global deployment for Samsung's new S mobile series soon and hit Pakistan along the way.
Your Galaxy S24 will probably give you an alert when the February patch is unlocked in our region. You should then head to the Software Updates Settings on the device. Hit the Check for Updates button if the menu is blank. A ChangeLog and Download button should appear. Click that button, and you are all set. Your Galaxy S24 should take care of the rest and boot to the latest firmware version.
